Biodent chx tooth varnish
- Biodent chx tooth varnish supports bacteria like Actinomyces and Streptococcus sangi on teeth that promote oral health.
Teeth in the mouth are covered with a biofilm, plague. This is initially a soft thin layer of bacteria, dead cells and food scraps which have been deposited on the teeth. Plague is formed approximately 24 hours after the tooth has been cleaned. Any plague which is not removed hardens after around three days and it will then no longer be easy to remove it with a toothbrush. The plague is then changed to tartar.
In order to keep the accumulation of plague to a healthy level, it’s important to brush your teeth after breakfast and before going to bed and to limit the number of times a day you eat something sweet.
Using Biodent chx tooth varnish can be a good addition to daily tooth brushing. Fluoride contributes to the mineralisation of teeth and EC40 and BioC improve the condition of the gums by changing the plague. Biodent chx tooth varnish helps to colonise beneficial bacteria like Actinomyces and Streptococcus sangi on the teeth in order to maintain good oral health.
- Improve gum health by changing the bacterial flora in the plague
- Supports beneficial bacteria in dental plaque for good oral health
Use Biodent chx tooth varnish in places where dental plague is difficult to remove with brushing alone. Support for the bacteria which are beneficial for maintaining good oral health is particularly recommended with frequent consumption of sugar and other sweet products. The chx dental varnish is applied to the teeth and can be brushed off again with a toothbrush after five minutes.
EC40 and BioC
EC40 and BioC dental varnishes are mixtures of chlorhexidine, sandarac and ethanol. BioC is intended for use every two months and EC40 for use every four months.
We have reduced the amount of chlorhexidine in our products, to allow us to continue to be able to sell them as a health product.
